Sapphire Personnel: Payment details for Ontario Region

Caregivers in the live-in Caregiver program should not be paid anything less than the required wages for each Province. Working conditions and wages are set by regions as each region has its own wage and working condition requirements.

Each Province allows you to pay Live-in Caregivers either "NET" or "GROSS" from which room-and-board may be deducted depending on the Province.

In either case, government deductions for taxes, CPP contributions and EI contributions must be made to CRA by the 15th of the month.

Below is a guide for wages and associated deductions. Please contact us if you have any questions.
