As of January 2012, the prevailing wage rate has increased to $1,830.40 gross amount per month calculated at $10.56 an hour for a 40 hour work week. These rates are in effect for all of Ontario, as there will no longer be different wage rates for the GTA and areas outside the GTA.
All Sapphire Nannies will be paid fair wages. We intend to abide by the Rules and Regulations of “The Employment Standard Acts of Ontario. We cannot provide you with a nanny working below the minimum wage. As of January 2012 the minimum wage for Ontario's Live - in Caregivers are $10.56 per hour. Sapphire Nannies are paid between $12.00 and $17.00 an hour, depending on qualifications, job requirements and number of children to be cared for.
